Dry Salt Therapy
Step inside our tranquil salt room - a serene, beautifully lit space that seats up to seven adults. Here, nothing is required of you except to sit back, breathe deeply, and let the salt-infused air do its quiet work.
From the very first breath, many people notice their airways opening and their breathing easing. The environment is highly sterile, meticulously clean, and designed for complete relaxation.
The Science Behind Salt Therapy
Salt therapy (halotherapy) mimics the natural microclimate of a salt cave. We use a medical-grade halogenerator to disperse ultra-fine dry salt particles into the air. When inhaled, these microscopic particles travel deep into the respiratory system, where they may:
- Clear and open airways by thinning mucus, helping the body expel it more easily.
- Calm inflammation in the respiratory tract, supporting easier breathing for those with conditions like asthma, sinusitis, bronchitis, or mild COPD.
- Support skin health, as salt can have gentle exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Induce deep relaxation by activating the parasympathetic nervous system - your body’s natural “rest and repair” mode.
Salt therapy is widely used as a complementary wellness practice. While many people experience noticeable relief, it is not a substitute for medical treatment. Always follow your healthcare provider’s advice.
Before Your Session
- Arrive 15 minutes early for registration and a calm start.
- Dress comfortably - casual or gym wear is perfect. You don’t need to undress.
- If coming straight from the gym, please shower first. This isn’t just about hygiene - it actually improves the effect of the therapy. Sweat and oil on the skin can reduce how efficiently salt particles reach your airways. A quick rinse also cools your body, helping your breathing settle into the slower, deeper rhythm that enhances the benefits of the session.
- Hydrate before and after your session. (No food or drinks are permitted inside.)
- We’ll provide disposable shoe covers to maintain a clean, sterile environment.
During Your Session
- Session length: typically 45 minutes.
- Room temperature: between 22–25 °C.
- Please switch off phones and embrace the quiet.
- Mobile devices and tablets are permitted if used silently and/or with headphones. No calls or conversations.
- Simply breathe, relax, and let your body settle.
Children, Families & Special Considerations
- Salt therapy is suitable from 6 months of age.
- No special clothing is needed for children, except for those with skin conditions - we recommend shorts and a T-shirt to expose affected areas.
- Salt therapy is safe for expectant mothers.
- Contact lenses can be worn, as the salty air doesn’t affect them.
