What is Nia?

Nia is a holistic movement and wellness practice, danced to soul stirring music - for anyBODY, regardless of age, health or fitness level. It's a powerful fusion of dance, martial arts and mindfulness, addressing each aspect of your life - body, mind and soul. Using a system of 52 simple moves, each Nia workout delivers full-body conditioning leaving you energized, mentally clear and emotionally balanced. Practiced barefoot, Nia's purpose is to inspire and guide people to listen to the wisdom of the body, choose movement that feels good and find connection in community.

What to expect

In every class we follow a cycle, setting a focus, stepping in, warming up, getting moving, cooling down, floor play and stepping out into life. Your teacher guides you, leading from the music with both form and freedom. You are guided to move in your own body's way, choosing your level of intensity. If it feels good then you're doing it right!
