Pilates Therapy combines gentle sequences, breath work and classical Pilates exercises to help strengthen and develop your body. This class focuses on progressing and improving mobility and flexibility using a range of techniques including balls, bands and sometimes the barre to help strengthen areas that may be prone to tension or weakness. This low impact style class is suitable for all levels as exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs and is ideal for those who suffer from bone and joint problems or who are recovering from a previous injury.
A typical Pilates therapy class may include:
Breath work and postural focus
Gentle warm up mobilising through each area of the body
-Seated or standing sequence using a mixture of bands, weights, barre, bodyweight exercises
Cool down sequences including breathing and relaxation
